can I take a manual trans from 4 cyl. (2.3L) and install on 6 cyl.(3.0L) and will it
work

it will not work. The manual transmission that ford developed was for the 4 cyl only. It does not handle the HP and TQ of the larger engine, not set up for it. The Ford Duratec 3.0L was designed for an automatic transmission.
