2007 Subaru WRX STI

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hey guys I am looking to purchase a 2007
Subaru wrx sti. Car looks really good in
condition has 210k on it but was rebuilt at
140k when I went to get inspected the guy
said car looks very clean, no leaks or burning
but the car had very low oil in it when asked
the owner said he has not done oil change in
long time. Can anyone tell me what this issue
may be and if it’s cheap or is it possible his
car is fine just hasn’t done oil change in long
time

STI owners typically like cars (these cars get run hard) and don't neglect them by not checking the oil. Looks don't mean much... without a proper pre purchase leak down test performed on the engine to determine wear and head gasket condition, be safe and factor in the cost of an engine replacement. If your going by looks.
