2003 jaguar x-type 3.0 manual transmission problem

clutch was changed 5000 miles ago and while driving down hwy car lost power. engine runs fine and can shift through gears fine but it won't go forward or reverse. slight whining sound while in gear and feels like there might be very slight power to drive train. there were no unusual sounds when power to wheels was lost.

Something has come apart and I hope for your sake that it is a worn clutch. Everything else is more expensive to fix.
