2005 Buick LeSabre. when Heating/Cooling/Vent is on my tires squeal when turning to left, what causes this?
Two weeks ago my AC unit was discharging water(?) into the passenger floorboard enough to soak through floor mat and carpet and the tires started squealing when I veer or turn left. The AC seems not to leak as bad, only a little bit now but the tires still squeal when I have any of the AC/Heat/Vent systems on. I looked under the car but have no idea what I am looking for. You helped me in the past with good advice so am hoping this is something you are familiar with. I'm a great mom but a terrible mechanic but put forth great effort if someone can direct me in the area I need to go. Thank you for your help. Virginia
I have a feeling it's not tires you hear. More like serpentine belt and the load of the A/C is causing it to squeal. Take a look at your belt, make sure there is no fraying around the edges, no cracks in belt, and push on the belt with your fingers and see if it is tight (engine off of course.) Come back and let us know if all seems well, please, and we can go from there
