a 98 with good maintenance will last well into the 200s if it has the 3.8 motor. check ifthe intake gaskets have been done . if you are not sure then check where the intake meets the head on the front and back . look for signs of wet from antifreeze . this is really the only bad thing .once corrected 400 dollars should be trouble free. .this car is worth between 24 and 2600 imho. best wishes.tom
