Why isn't my CD fitting into the CD slot?

Asked by May 29, 2014 at 02:57 PM about the 2007 Ford Fusion SE

Question type: General

I tried to put my CD into the CD slot and there seems to be nothing else in it, because it
won't go all the way in. I know it should be pretty simple to put the CD in and it'll play, but
it' not fitting.

Is the cd the right size?

my son says that a home made CD (ie :made on your computer at home) CAN BE incompatible with a CD player and the CD player would not allow the CD all the way in.

he also said there are other reasons and they have to do with the CD player being incompatible with the disc .

or the CD carrier has broken and can't except a disc.

or just keep you eyes and ears for paying attention to your driving without distractions and leave the home entertainment system in the rec room where it belongs.

Do you have small children...Must of the times they insert coins or small objects true the cd slot jamming the radio...since it is out of warranty take it off shake it and see if you can hear any noise coming from inside the radio...if it does just take the top metal cover out, put the radio upside down and the stuff should just fall off...Also it is a good time to clean the laser lens...thanks

I've got the same problem, don't know the answer, but now I have a new question. Why are there so many websites where anyone can provide an "answer?" Almost 100% worthless in call cases, and definitely worthless in this case. Chassy you get the prize for lamest/dumbest answer. By your "logic" there would be no "entertainment system" in cars. But for some bizarre reasons 99.9999999% of cars have one. Why is that Chassy? Can you figure that out?
