X pipes in the exhaust

I’m haveing true duals run on my Dodge Ram 1500 5.7
does it need to have the x pipe in it to run right

I think the "X" pipe was designed as a stop gap for aftermarket dual exhaust additions. Do some extensive research on exhaust mod's before you commit. If that's the way it came from the factory, no worries. If not, be careful installing full dual exhaust without having the ECM reprogrammed...not a cheap prospect. But then again, neither is dual exhaust. You can mess up a perfectly good engine without proper compensation to the lack of back pressure n O2 reports to the ECM, waaay outside of what they were designed for.
