Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Ran low on gas, put 8 gallons of e85
accidently.  About a mile after, truck
started dying, sputtering.  I drained the
tank, bought new fuel pump. Truck is
still missing

I would fill it up with premium and drive it a bit. If the miss does not stop after a couple of miles you may have damaged something in the fuel system. If the CEL comes on, scan for codes.

Probably still have residue from E85 (too much alcohol for your engine). You may need fuel injectors cleaned.

FROM MY OWN EXPERIENCE WITH E85 REFILL HALF TANK OF HI GRADE FUEL WITH NO ETHONOL ADDED THEN PUT IN A CAN OF SEAFOAM, Then add 1/2 can it to your engine oil to get rid of residue, then put it in a spray bottle with someone inside to keep it running SPRAY DIRECTLY through the air intake It wil cough spit and sputter like yor trying to drown it, But it will cast those E85 demons out
