Truck disengaged drive at 55 mph

My 2004 ram 1500 will not engage the
automatic doesn't have Park reverse or drive
and a strange whining noise seems to sound  
from the torque converter how do I fix this?

Could be the pump is running dry, possibly the pickup screen fell off, when was the trans serviced?

Torque converter went up tearing my transmission apart rebuild
