Engine swap

Asked by Sep 13, 2016 at 10:54 AM about the 2004 Dodge Ram 1500 SLT Quad Cab LB

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2004 ram 1500 and it needs a new motor.
My mechanic got a 2011 motor at a great price.
Can he simply swap the motors using my flywheel
and crank sensor, also using my intake?

If the new motor is the same kind as the one that went south, then yes.
