On a twenty-year-old Dodge, it could mean that the engine is finally done. It might also mean that that old oil pressure sending unit has failed. Have a mechanic put a test gauge on it to find out.

If it responds to revving the engine , idle to warm then the pump may be on it's way out . If it's randomly erratic it may be the sending unit ,.The truck's pretty old and the engine worn
