Cranks over won't start, no codes

You need three things for the engine to run. Fuel, spark, and compression. Let's see what's missing. Spray a little starting fluid down the throttle body and see if it'll run for a few seconds on that. If so, you have a fuel problem. Bad fuel pump, fuel pump relay, or the injectors aren't spraying. If it will not run at all on the starting fluid you have an ignition (no spark) problem or no compression. To check for spark, remove one of the spark plug wires at the spark plug. Insert a large screwdriver in the end of the spark plug wire. Hold the screwdriver close to something metal that's not painted. Have a helper crank the engine. You should see a strong spark jumping, rhythmically from the screwdriver as the engine cranks over. You might be able to hear it as well. SNAP, SNAP, SNAP will be the sound. If you have spark and fuel (the starting fluid) but the engine still won't run it's time to do a compression test. If all cylinders test very low or zero it's jumped timing. Be sure you double check all the wiring that was involved with that aftermarket security system too! Those are usually nothing but trouble. In my opinion the best theft deterrent is to remove the fuel pump relay when you park the vehicle i understand that maybe you bought the vehicle with the aftermarket security system, just putting it out there for future reference. A friend bought a Chevy Blazer with an aftermarket security system already installed and it was nothing but trouble. It involved everything from the horn to the gauges on the dash! He finally got tired of fighting with it and traded the vehicle in! Hope that helps! Jim

Any codes were probably cleared when you disconnected the batt. Test for proper spark , injector pulse and fuel pressure some vehicles are particular just having fuel pressure won't do .

Replace the ASD relay number 57, see if it will start.
