Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 01 Ram 1500 3.9 V6. My truck not only wont start but as soon as you turn the ignition it will click once then all electrical shuts off. After that happens if I tap the battery cable power is restored. The battery is good had it checked, the battery cables are tight and secure, My wife took my truck to the store then came home. I went to start it and then this.

Check the battery cable,s,if you can tap them and fix issue, then that point,s to the problem,it must be the cable,s them self, they will look good on the outside of cable, but the inside is bad,,replace cable,s.

First step I would do is replace your battery cables make sure they are clean and grounded properly check all ground wires check ground wires to your engine and ground wires to your car chassis it could also be a faulty battery it does not matter if your battery is brand new sometimes they are bad when they are new
