Hubs with no abs
So I ordered the wrong wheel hub
bearings for my dodge ram 1500 1/2
ton 5.2 4x4 and they have no abs.
What the worst that can happen if I put
The ABS won't work and with a pickup that can cause a spin out caused by the rear wheels not pulsing during hard braking, the ABS light will always be on, depending on the system your speedo/odometer may not work and this may interfere with proper transmission function and give you a check engine light, plus if you are in an area that requires safety checks before they issue tags it won't pass. Now that being said, look closely at the replacement and original hubs, you maybe able to transfer the wheel speed sensors to the new hubs, it's not the best thing to do as you can fracture a sensor then your right back to where you are now. The correct action would be to reorder the correct hubs with wheel speed sensors, that way you know everything is correct.
My wheel bearings r for the front. And yes old ones have the hole for the abs. I wasn't a wear it would case failure with my speed sensors. Only advice I have got was that in bad weather like heavy rain or snow with our abs I would have problem stopping correctly. Like slipping ect.
If your state has vehicle inspections you will never pass with the ABS not working. You will also de-value your truck if you go to sell it.
My state don't have inspections. And thanks for the info. I'm just concerned about safety in driving like that a until I can order the correct set. I don't have the time to ship them back and wait for the right ones.
