More info...does the air circulation fan NOT turn on, is it no heat??? Do the lights dim, do you have an alternator guage, is the guage reading low???

If the air is on first, does the air shut off when the lights are turned on? Do you notice any correlation between turning on the lights and the fan, ie...high beam, low beam? Take a look at your fuse box and check the controlling fuse, the lights and the HVAC fan might be controlled by the same fuse. The fuse socket could be corroded causing limited current draw kinda like a shower head blocked by lime buildup. This kinda problem won't necessarily cause the fuse but could cause a break down when both are operating because of excessive resistance to current flow. Check both the fuse AND the socket it came out of. Get some electronic cleaner spray from Walmart n spritz 'er down just to be sure.
