I have a 98 ram 1500... my step dad backed his 2500 into it just to the left of the gas cap... it kinked the vent hose where you put the gas in... how do i unkink the hose so i can put gas in.
Also dificult to get the gas cap off... broke
some of the lastic around that holds it in
place... but i dont smell fumes so i dont think
theres an evap leak.
When that happened to my F350 i replaced the fuel filler neck. Bought mine on ebay.
Well i have to put about 250 into my jeep which is my daily driver and dont have a lot of money to fix the truck at the moment... but the kink was in the lower rubber portion of thr hose.. just for giggle i tried.pushomg the dent out with a bottle jack and a short two by four... it pishes it out enough that i was able to wiggled the fuel filler hose back into place and it unkinked the rubber part... all i have to do until i can buy the mounting plate for the top part of the hose is pit a little hole in the plastic above it and run a wire coat hanger around it for now.... yay gerryriggin. That will at least hold it in place til i get paid again in two weeks. >.<
Good lord i can't type on a touch screen phone. I swear i'm not that illiterate. I may not know what the parts on the vehicles are called but can at least get them running enough to get it home most of the time.....
