Truck is running rough

I have 97 ram 1500 4x4 my truck starts up
and runs fine for a min then starts running
real rough and acts like its goin to die and
when I drive it it will cut out but when I
hammer it it clears up?

I changed the cap rotor plugs idle control sensor. My exhaust it broke right at my first o2 sensor and it popped up said it was bad could that do it?
