1996 dodge ram no power to coil no spark on plugs don't know what else to try
okay, we replaced the rotor, distributor cap, crank sensor, battery wires, coil, plug wires, all ground connections have been checked, fuel pump seems to kick on. but there is NO SPARK, and after replacing the coil, still no power to the coil. out of ideas, and patience. looking for some input and ideas....thanks
going to try replacing the asd and fuel relays, but any other ideas are sooo welcome at this point
also, there were no trouble codes when we tried to find one, and the computer was tried on another truck and worked. we thought it might have been the computer, but it worked fine....waiting to see if the relays fixed it. the dang thing ran just fine three days ago, but the weather was really hot and maybe something got cooked? *sigh*
okay, fuel pump NOT working, relays didn't fix problem, they were tested and deemed to be working......really lost now lol
Did you take a meter and trace the primary ignition from the coil backwards?
no, we didn't try that. would we be looking to see where the power starts?
Did you ever get this resolved?
no. I have same problems. no spark to coil. is there a diagram of the electrical system?
