1996 dodge 5.2 starting issue

Asked by Pocoguy Dec 27, 2015 at 05:27 PM about the 1996 Dodge RAM 1500 ST Club Cab 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a dodge 1500 with the 5.2 l, and I was trying
to wire in my compressor to key-on power, shorted
something out, and now it won't start and stereo
and cig. Lighter are dead. Checked fuses, charged
the battery, and nothing. I think I may have shorted
out and killed my ignition switch. Any ideas that
could help me out?

Check more fuses. There are some under the hood and some inside of the vehicle.
