My truck has trouble staying alive

It won't stay alive unless my foot is still on the pedal

So it is stalling out. I can assume there are some Instrument panel light that are on including the Check engine light. Have a mechanic scan for the codes and determine a fix. It could be anything from a misfire, vacuum leak, etc.

sounds like a classic IAC valve problem , but of course things should be tested before you spend the money .
