my trucks got power and rubs smooth when moving at a consistant pace but drops idle and feels likechug out when goin slow or in reverse... could there be a problem with fuel pump or fuel filter?
It would not hurt to change the filter, and may be change the plugs and wires if you havent done this in a while, but if it continues, have the fuel pressure checked to see if you have fuel pump issues.
Yes, change the fuel filter if not changed since new and if not part of the fuel pump inside the tank. Then do the less expensive first. Try thoroughly cleaning the throttle body and components. Have any codes read at an auto parts store, it's normally free. Don't throw parts at it without knowing where the problem exists. A fuel pressure gauge can normally be purchased for less than thirty bucks.
