Car gurus doesn't sell cars
And sounds like a scam to me.

You can list a vehicle to sell on their site and they do advertising for various automobile manufacturer's, but they in no way control any type of personal transactions involving vehicles being sold by private parties. Hope this help's!
I think I just inquired about the same thing Sergent said his wife past 4 months ago daughter can't drive it got until 3/31 to get rid of it states he was at military base and that he's in a car guru buyers program in all he need is my full name and address...dude really
It's a scam! Buyer beware, if it sounds to good to be true, it probably is !
I just inquired about a 2007 Acura MDX FOR $3,000. Same thing. Military guy. Cargurus buyer protection program.. wife died 4 months ago..it's a scam.

Well guess what... Me too! I just inquired about a 2012 Maxima for 3,000. How many dead wives does this guy have!
Ha, just received the same deal from a Senior Medic Sgt. John Parker. Got a little fishy when a John Parker doesn't speak good English. Got even worse when the payment was expected in ITunes cards.

Hope they catch the scum, to pose as a military guy just brings his pathetic ness to a new level !
If it seems too good to be true it is! Today I decided to do a little research after inquiring about a 2012 Nissan Maxima for $3000. I was emailed from Medic Sgt. Charles Davis that his wife had died 4 months ago, his daughter was not big enough for the vehicle, and he was leaving with his medic team out of the country for a year so he needs to sell the vehicle before April 30. After I emailed him back about meeting up, he replied that he was in the car gurus buyers protection program. He stated that car gurus would give him 7 days to see if I'm satisfied with the purchase. If so, then he would get the money. He then asked me to send my full name, address, and phone number to get the ball rolling. I was already suspicious, but after this response I knew something wasn't right. I typed in my question about the car gurus buyer's protection program and found all of the previous comments. Great information from you guys! I really appreciate it!
I thought I was gonna be able to get a decent truck from. Well guess it's a scam. There was also a number on there that claimed to be his brother helping him sell it
Yes, he is at it again, his "story" sounded to good to be true on the email. You can report him to the FBI at ic3.gov. The fact he is using online resources and emails to scam and con people is illegal and the FBI will track him and get him eventually if enough people report it. Thank you all for your comments, when I searched the "car gurus buyer protection program" this came up on Google saving us time and effort for sure.
Buyers BEWARE.... John Parker posing as a widowed father of young daughter who is military. firstname.lastname@example.org is his email showing a photo of a man in military attire, FRAUD and SCAM
