Ford f150

I had a C5 tran put in my 83 T bird, but that was years ago. That car was a v 6 motor and was fine the that tran type. I don't know if it would be compatible with that 4.6. that would be something for me to research, actually. good luck. Definitely call some shops and ask about the C5. that did cost me about $500 for a rebuilt.

I need help... i have an 88 f150 302 and overdrive is out. Can anyone help ? Only thing i know is that its works by vacuum. Gears 123 work fine but thats it.

Hello James, I would do more research on transmissions and find out the transmission type. Then I would try to get the history of that type and find out if I have to get another tranny or not. Maybe just a vacuum puece. Talk to shops
