Tonya,there should be a button on shifter,to cut the overdrive off,if this does not work you may need to reset the PCM,by removing the positive cable from battery for a few minutes,if the issue is still there after trying the things i said,you may need to have the transmission checked.

Or,could be low of transmission fluid all so.
