Truck not starting.

Asked by Oct 22, 2016 at 08:10 PM about the 2003 Ford F-150 Lariat Crew Cab SB

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 2003 F150 changed fuel pump. Checked the
coils are not getting any power and not producing
any spark to fire up motor. Would it be the pcm ?

If you have a theft light that is flashing u need to resolve that... the pcm gets a input from the crank sensor to fire the injectors and coils when the engine is cranking or running. Also could be an issue with the ignition switch. Check to see if you have any codes and if you can see rpm pid while cranking... a basic code reader should be ok

No lights flashing,no engine light just no spark.with an code reader would it tell about crank sensor? Also would the chip in the key be gone bad?

Possible the chip is bad or the ring in the Ignation switch... but if that's the case the theft light would flash fast while u r cranking or with the key on
