F 150 won't start
I have a 2000 f150 4.2 truck won't start
without starter fluid. Once it starts it will
stay running. I changed my fuel pump, fuel
filter and fuel regulater. I checked the
inertia switch.Any ideas?
Should do a fuel bleed down test, (fuel pressure should be 30 to 45 lbs). Hook in a fuel pressure gauge, build up the fuel pressure, with the key off watch the gauge. It should hold fuel pressure. If it dose not you may have some leaky injectors.
It could also be a sensor misread, if one or more sensors are sending incorrect information to the computer it may not enrich the fuel mixture enough for initial start up. A live data scan tool would be invaluable for checking this cold.
