Fuel tank switch valve

My fuel is going to the back tank on my
truck wher is the switching valve  
located  on a 96 2wd F1-50 with a  4.9

the valve is located in rear tank sending unit this will cause the fuel to pump from the front tank to the rear tank had same problem
