95 f150 no heat

Asked by James Oct 25, 2015 at 10:06 AM about the 1995 Ford F-150 Special 4WD LB

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

So I have done everything I can think
of. Changed t stat and rad. cap, put
all new vacuum lines in. Have plenty
of coolant. Both heater lines get hot.
I have good heat to the heater core.
And the blower motor works
properly. But all I can get out of the
Vents is cold air. The blend door
behind blower motor works properly
as does the one under dash behind
ashtray. Is there another one I'm
missing?? Help please Vermont
winter is coming fast!!

If both hoses to the core are hot then fluid is flowing through it. There should be a blend door which closes off AC side when heat is in use. Try this. Turn on the AC and set it to the coldest setting. It should get real cold. Slowly turn the temp know from cold to hot. You should feel a definite temp difference on your hand, from cold at the highest setting, to nothing when the temp knob is turned in the other direction. If there is little to no change you have a blend door problem somewhere.

You checked everything that needs to be checked. I think you missed something because if the heater core is hot and the fan and blend door work then you must have heat. I would check the heater control valve to make sure you are getting full flow.
