Can I sacrifice my power steering fluid to save my very low transmission fluid?

For the cost of new fluid, I wouldn't. Get the proper new fluid and add.

Transmission fluid does not evaporate. If it is low add it property then check it again in a few days or look for leak spots on the ground.
