Am I able to put a 89 350 small block standard with posi into a 92 f150 4x4 inline 6 motor swap?

With custom motor mounts and custom transmission mounts it should be possible. I rather doubt you will ever pass smog inspection though and it will cost a lot of money. Why not put a Ford V8 in instead?

The Chevy engine will not bolt up to the Ford transmission so you will need a transmission and transfer case too.

FoR is right. But I am not clear on what you mean by "350 small block with posi" To me 'Posi' means Positraction rear end. Nothing to do with engine. Ford had a 351 available for 1992 F-150 and probably has a places for V8 motor -mounts on frame. But many States, just as FoR says, the engine must be same year or newer, and even if that particular rule does not apply in your State, the electronics are way different. So the bottom line to your question is yes, possible, but cost will be out of this world

There are no Emissions Standards in most states on vehicles older than 22 to 25 year models. Also there are no Emissions Standards on recreational vehicles regardless to their year of make. That is something You will have to check your state Emissions Laws about because they very from state to state and counties above certain population numbers. The manual transmission You using might not make that much of a difference if you are using say a 4 speed New Process 435 or Borg Warner T18, because GM, Ford. Dodge and Jeep used those in their older trucks. Changing the Fly Wheel, Belling Housing and Drive Shaft might be all that is needed.

In reality that is not something easily answered on a internet forum. There are mechanics and shops that can do that work and might answer these question for a price.

I heard you can drop a 350 engine into a Ford F-150 as long as the motor your taking out the Ford is a 302 and it will line up with the transmission. But i want to know if anyone has actually done it. And just because you're a mechanic doesnt mean you know theanswer i just want to know if anyone has actually done it
