is there some kind of solenoid that raises the idle when you turn on the air conditioner on because my 1990 ford f150 keeps dieing when i turn on my air conditioner.if there is where would it be located?
There is generally a switch, I forget what it is called right now, which will cause the A/C to shut off when driving at certain speeds to facilitate passing at highway speeds. It sounds more like perhaps your A/C clutch is not working. Have this checked out by a mechanic, I know there is a switch in the line somewhere that relates to this, but the exact name escapes me.
