2005 Chevy Trailblazer wiring sensors

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

TI just purchased a 2005 chevy trailblazer. Check engine light is on and
diagnostic references various engine sensors. I've changed out one sensor but
then diagnostic just indicates that a different sensor is defective.  A mechanic
friend said these small chevy SUVs are notorious for wiring harness problems.
I know just continuing to change sensors isn't the fix. I'm looking for
suggestions of things I can try rather than changing out the whole wiring
harness. Thanks in advance.

If you're using a scanner that can read the data list see which component is falling off, it's pretty straightforward once you isolate the component you can test it with a DVOM. I hope this helps. Take care.

Hi Mike, thanks for your reply. Yes, the scanner tells me which sensor is defective. I replaced that sensor and then the scanner indicated a different sensor was defective. He said that in the past he’d just keep replacing sensors but the next scan it would just point to a different sensor. He said to just replace the entire wiring harness. There’s got to be other fixes I can try before replacing the entire wiring harness.

The GMT360 platform does not have wiring harness issues. What are the exact codes that continue to pop up?
