How do I reset passlock on 2005 chevy Trailblazer?
Battery died Tuesday evening.Put in new battery the next day.Now have power to everything except it will not start. Passlock will flash 3 times then stay on when I turn the switch. Is there any way I can reset the passlock without towing to garage for repair?
This may work: 1. Turn on the ignition, with the engine OFF. 2. Attempt to start the engine, then release the key to ON (vehicle will not start). look at 'security light', after approximately 10 minutes it should shut off 4. Turn off the ignition, and wait 5 seconds. 5. Repeat steps 1 through 4 two more times for a total of 3 cycles/30 minutes/ The vehicle is now ready to relearn the Passlock Sensor Data Code The vehicle learns the Passlock Sensor Data Code and/or password on the next ignition switch transition from OFF to CRANK. You must turn the ignition OFF before attempting to start the vehicle. 6.Start the engine (the vehicle has now learned the Passlock Sensor Data Code and/or password).

We have a 2005 trailblazer. It sat idle for 2 years. Changed battery and numerous other items. Trailblazer runs, BUT the security light and hazards stay on....will doing this "passcode" thing fix?
