Throttle body And Fan switch resistor

I have a 06 Chevy trailblazer ls 4x4 and I have
replaced the control switch resistor an it worked
for a couple of weeks but then went back to just
working on 1-3 speed does anybody have any idea
what keeps  Causing the problem. Then my  Idle is
up an down  alot an I have already completely  
Cleaned the throttle body an I still have a problem
with the idle can someone help me out thanks in
advance

Kennith, it's highly recommended to replace the pigtail that plugs into the resistor when replacing the resistor itself. These melt from the inside out. Also, make sure you got the right "resistor". If you have manual climate controls, it's called a resistor. Automatic climate controls are not resistors, it's called blower motor control module. Both look similar, in the same location, but have different functions. For your idle, not sure if you did a PCM relearn after the cleaning, hopefully you completely removed the throttle body for cleaning also. Try removing fuses #10 and #28 under the hood for an hour, to reset the pcm and complete the relearn.

I cant remember if I did change the pigtail or not that has been three years ago. I have just been Living with it for now. It is a manual so I know I have the right one. For the throttle body i did remove it but did do a pcm relearn. Thanks for the info an the help
