Overheating

Is it REALLY overheating or is the useless gauge just saying that? Need to hook up a cheap scanner and see what the real temperature is. Could be a cheap temperature sensor that needs to be replaced. Starting in 06' that darn sensor changed locations, to the passenger side, way in the back. 02-05, sensor was cake to do, right above the thermostat. If scanner is reading higher than the rating on your thermostat, you could have a headgasket problem. Have your coolant checked by a pro for any oil in the coolant.

Forgot to mention, you could just have air in the system too. Which is fixable too.

Will my 2006 chevy trail blazer run hot without the thermostat I do have one on it at all do I need to put one on so it don’t overheat

Replaced water pump and thermostat on 2004 Chevy trailblazer. It still very slightly overheats.

I replaced my fan clutch radiator and water pump On my Chevy 2005 is still overheating no leaks or anything any ideas ??
