Yes. I had a car with transmission shudder and shake so bad it rattled the dash. It turned out a massive vacuum leak at the intake manifold made the engine run so bad the transmission got confused and couldn't pick a gear that would stay in. When the engine repair smoothed things out, I also changed the tranny fluid and filter.

I have an 83 Ford LTD Crown Victoria. The fuel pump stays running when the key is on. Is this normal? The car will not start. I have 1995 Ford crown Victoria LX that is overheating. I just finished replacing intake manifold, thermostat, water pump, oil filter adapter, vacuum lines and two sensors on the intake manifold.
