Rear Fuse Box replacement/repair

One night my Maxx would turn and crank but
would fail short to start. Had it towed after
checking everything (relays, starter, fuel pump etc)
ave thinking it was time to replace the alternator.
The shop found that the rear fuse box wasn't
working properly; one bump on the road and it can
fault some of the fuses and leaving my car without
starting. They suggested replacing the entire box
at a hefty $1900 for parts and labor; not to mention
how common anger particular this issue is for this
model. So thoughts? Advice on what to do?

If it's like my 2012 Malibu, the box itself costs $80 and takes 5 minutes to replace (held on by 4 bolts).

what type of bolts hold it on? are they in the 4 spots between the fuses/relays? cant see what they are
