1977 trans am or formula

The vin has a u but it has everything as a trans am. Any differances in the body to tell? Did someone just change the front end over?

We have a 1981 Trans Am, the only difference from your's to ours is the front headlight area. Yes, the front end could be changed from a formula to a Trans Am.There is a scrap yard up in calgary,Alberta they have over 600 cars I can not remember the phone number though, but if you check the nov. auto trader their number is there they could help you, that is where we got ours verified and found out it was a Burt Reynolds special edition.
