Question type: Shopping & Pricing

Hi

My son is looking for a reliable car to take to school. He
found two options. One is a 2000 Toya Camry with 85,000
miles and the other is a 2007 Toyota Camry with 185,000
miles. The price isn’t too far apart. We think he should get
the 2007 because there are more updates safety features,
but he wants the lower mileage. Which would you choose.
I don’t know the specifics on which model Camry either
car is.

You don't say what the condition or prices are but I would go with the low mile car. 185k is a lot even for a Camry.

I think both are in good condition as far as I can tell, but either way will have a mechanic overlook. I read that the 2000 doesn’t have antilock brakes. Will confess that I don’t know exactly what they are, but is that a safety issue?
