How do you get into a 1998 Pontiac Grand Prix with date three digit combination on the glove compartment that owner does not know

I’m trying to find out how to get into a glove compartment with a three digit combination it’s on a 1988 Pontiac Grand Prix

I read that the factory set code is "000". If the previous owner never bothered to change it, or did not know how, 000 might work. Otherwise, only if you are extremely patient, you can try 001, 002, 003, up to 999. Good Luck
