Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 92 Honda civic, I have a problem with
white smoke or steam coming out of the exhaust
pipe. I thought it might be a blown head gasket but
my car doesn't over heat. The oil is not milky it is
oil, but I am constantly having to put in water and
coolant in the radiator at least once a week
because it is empty. Im confused as the car runs
fine and not overheating. What could be the
problem?

I would say that if you do not see spots of coolant under the vehicle, it is going into the engine. Since you keep putting coolant in the radiator, the car does not overheat because the fluid is cooling the engine. Many times the crack in the gasket or head is very small and the coolant does not show when you check the oil dipstick. If the steam/smoke comes out at all times, you should have the car checked to avoid costly repairs. Perhaps others have a better idea and respond to your question.
