1993 s10 blazer with a 4.3 l vortec

My blazer will starts at idle but when i hit the
throttle to go it dies and will not start again until it
sits for a while

I would check the fuel pressure, change out the fuel filter first. Fuel pressure should be 9 to 13 lbs. Also there is a strainer on the end of the fuel pump that might be plugged up as well. So possible fuel pump or fuel regulator. Also check the ignition system, cap, rotor, plugs, wires.

Also check for vacuum leaks, snug up the intake manifold, and check the TBI base gasket, they will go bad and cause this kind of condition.
