2.2 l Chevy s-10 30 in tires. Can it cause transmission problems?

I have a 2002 Chevy S 10 2wd 2.2 L. I put
30 in bfg mud terrains on it and after 6
months of having them on the transmission
went out. replaced it 3 times along with an
ecu and a motor. The guy is saying the
transmission problems are coming from
the larger tires. I've only had it back for a
week. Just wanted some opinions! TIA

Yes, adding bigger tires can cause more damage than it's worth. You can change you rear end gear ratio to offset that. More than likely you put too much torque on the tranny. What gears does it have now?

I doubt the transmission problems are related to the tires but your truck will drive a lot better with tires that are closer to the stock size.

How about more information on your transmission problems? Auto or manual? What exactly went wrong?
