Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My moms car just started doing this.  If fuel tank is
full it drives fine. As soon as it hits a half of a tank
it dies and wont start till more fuel is added. Fuel
gauge is accurate . There is no whole in the tak
either   Before it never had a problem being at a
quarter or eighth tank. Lucky me it did it the first
time in the middle of nowhere oregons east side

Nothing had been done to it. Always ran it on a half to quarter tank with no problems
