Third gear won't shift

Question type: General

I have a 2009 ford ranger 2.3l 4 cylinder. Drive and
reverse won't move when I shift in R/D. Manually,
I'll have to shift low gears to engage the two gears
D and R for them to move. Is its a bad solenoid or
my valve body? One minute the truck shift's then
go back stuck?

You have some trany problems, you will need to get it to a professional for repair.
