Heater not working

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Why is my car heater blowing air but not hot air
out?

1 Answer

Heather works with coolant passing through radiator and heather core (inside car) and also a blow motor that will blow air through the heather core inside car. The blow motor is working but there is a lack of hot coolant/water in heather core, what can be caused by a bad thermostat that is stuck, not opening or you may have low coolant level or clogged system. Start checking coolant level, if it is good, than follow the other suggestions.
