Truck won't move when putting in gear

I have a 2000 Silverado 2500 4x4 when I
put it into gear it won't move at all but has
tried to slowly crawl forward a little bit.
Doesn't have any winding of grinding
noises. Anyone know what this problem is
or what I can do?
