2012 chevy eqinox

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Today I turned on vehicle n battery light
came on, thought new battery needed,
had it charged n put back. Started up n all
the lights on control panel came on
blinking n all went out. Vehicle then just
stopped n died. Had to push off road n
park. What is wrong with it.

When the battery light comes on does not mean that something is wrong with the battery it means the vehicles charging system is not working most likely cause alternator not charging. Have alternator tested should be charging at 14 volts.
