Chevy silverado problem

I have a 94 chevy silverado 5.7 motor my
distributor went shot in it well I replaced it and the
rotor button drove it 10 miles down the highway it
back fired and now it won't start back I took the
distributor back off its burn so I put other new one
on it and still won't start

Sounds like you may have the distributor off when re-installing it. Check that #1 cylinder is coming up on the compression stroke and set at top dead center. Drop the distributor in with the rotor pointing at the #1 tower of the distributor cap. I am assuming that when you say new distributor, that it includes new ICM and coil pick-up.
