Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 98 dodge 1500 4x4  transmission is going out
so I think got reverse but when I put it in drive it
grins and want go where should I start at

Call a few trans shops for estimates on cost. Than Google shop to see if people have any comments pro or con, better yet if you know people who can reccommend shop. Get one that has a long warranty too. I think a good rebuild of your transmission is best bet if they know what their doing. Get someone who knows transmission to help you talk to mechanic. Ask what all they replace and/or rebuild. U all so need to weigh the cost of trans work vs the worth of the car

    Is it any way i can get a th 350 transmisson to be strong like a 700r4 i got an 80 impala that. Iam putting 24s on it i like the 700r4. For the overdrive but iam have to shorten my driveshaft
